Cracking Adobe Photoshop is not as easy as installing it. First, you’ll need to access a secret file that contains the serial number for the software. A keygen is a piece of software that will generate a valid serial number for you. Once the keygen is downloaded, you’ll need to run it and generate a valid serial number. Then, launch Adobe Photoshop and enter the serial number. You should now have the full version of the software.
Even though Adobe market these programs as standalone applications, most of them come with a browser-type “right click” menu, like any other software (like Microsoft Office). The first level of Photoshop has a familiar layout of tools (Brush, Pen, Lasso, Basic, etc.) to crop, color adjust, retouch, etc. The tools menu on the left side is slide-out (see screenshot here ), and the top panels, drop down menus provide you with instant access to a large majority of the main categories, such as Snapshots, Adjustments, etc. All these panels can be closed on remaining sections of the software. Applied edits can be saved and viewed in individual panels by clicking the icon to open the image in a new tab (as shown above). They can also be saved on a special tab, called the “History tab”. All edits are stored on this tab, and Lightroom CC provides the ability for you to go back in time to view and copy edits from any time. All edits can be saved on this tab, and all tabs can be accessed from the File menu of Photoshop CC. It will help you in the future, should you want to go back in time to a specified version.
I appreciate that the new Lightroom also works on Windows Mobile and Palm. I’ve had accounts on those platforms for years now, and never used them. I’m happy to ignore them. Android and iOS companion apps will be available in June. The upgrade is free, but I would like to see Photoshop CS6 also available for free. If they’re going to offer the free versions of Lightroom and Photoshop together, they should also do so in a creative manner. I’d happily take 5 years of service upgrades for Photoshop CS6 (and LR 5) for the price of a single copy of Photoshop CS6. I’d also do just as much taking pictures for the next 5 years as I do now. All this, of course, assuming Adobe wants to get me to stay. Shouldn’t all these hoopla be worth a decent price, less the obligatory subscription fees? And, since this is all free, Adobe shouldn’t ask for too much of my money, either. If you want to know, I still use Photoshop CS5 on a daily basis. If I didn’t have a two-year-old kid I probably would have enjoyed upgrading to CS6 this go-around. I don’t necessarily have an opinion on pricing, though. I do have an idea to suggest to my readers. Unfortunately, Matt Brinkman, part of the image processing team at Photoshop, doesn’t think this is a good idea. In his words:
“You’re essentially paying for an extra half a year of support and service on top of what you pay today. You’ve invested in your computer, and a full price purchase of Photoshop should reflect that. On the flip side, Photoshop users want to be able to upgrade to a new version of the platform without having to dive so deeply into their pockets.”
So, my advice is not to upgrade if you’re not sure you want to. I believe, as Helen Saville (the author of this article) did, that you should wait for a few days after the official release before upgrading to avoid buying something that may not turn out to be worth it. I’m a bit saddened that I won’t be able to fully benefit from the whole “free” thing on my PC for a while, but if I wait for something to come out reasonably priced then I will still get my hands on it later.
