Magic Partition Recovery 2.1 14
I’m using the TimeCapsule, but it will not let me erase the entire drive.I’m on windows and I can make a dot-matrix edit to add spaces to the end of the partition, but as soon as I hit erase, it tells me I must save as it writes to the disk.If I hit shutdown, or remount the volume, the TimeCapsule does not recognize the OS X partition as a storage device.I am sure the drive has been erased,I’m trying the last resort, resizing the partition. I’ll report back.
I erased my ElCapitan partition yesterday.Today I tried to install ElCapitan to my SnowLion through the recovery partition. It won’t recognize the partition as an OS boot, nor will it recognize the partition as an internal EFI boot, nor will it recognize the partition as Macintosh HD.Same errors as last time.I resized my ElCapitan partition down to 1mb using GParted.I increased the Linux partition to 8gb.Should I continue on without ElCapitan?
I have a pretty thorough description of the problem here. I changed the boot volumes so the encryption key is generated on ElCapitan and the installer knows about it. I was referring to this on my issues with the bootloader on ElCapitan 5.1 and making it live:
